About informationSuperHighway.eu

This section is about me and my site.

About my site

I created my first homepage back in 1995. At that time Netscape was the only serious browser around. I created more advanced webpages back in 1996 with java/javascript under the name pollux. Although these pages have suffered from a severe form of code rot you can still view those pages here,  just don't expect the applets to work.

Now the leading browser is of course MSIE and rising on the horizon the mozilla/firefox/thunderbird browser.

I think my webpages are compatible with those two browsers and actually it should be compatible with any browser compliant with HTML 4.01/CCS2.1.

For the graphics I used The Gimp with a Wacom graphics tablet with Linux as OS. I am not 100% satisfied with the result though (due to my skills not "The Gimp" or "Wacom").

This all runs on a Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP Combo

This time I tried to go for max compatibility and reasnonably fast download times. So I kept the pages fairly simple.

The system runs on a AMD64 Athlon 64 X2 4200+, 2.2GHz. For the fun of it it is running a QuakeForge server on port 27500. Current Load average is 0.00 0.00 0.00 1/140 31611

About me

Since this page is about the Moonlit site it is also a bit about me Ron AF Greve a.k.a Moonlit, formerly known as Pollux ;-). And as a good family member I would recommend my brothers website. My hobbies are painting (though I am not to good at it), gaming and software development.

The game genres I like most are adventures and RPG's and sometimes a FPS.

Adventures that were fun to play (sierra/coktel/vivendi universal's) "King's Quest", "Gabriel Knight", "Torin's passage", "Phantasmagoria 1 & 2"(Lucasarts) "Monkey Island" series, "Sam & Max", "Day of the Tentacle (DOTT)", "Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis"(revolution's) "Beneath A Steel Sky (see the revolution site for a FREE download of the complete game)", "Broken Sword 1&2", (Adventure soft's)"Simon the sorcerer 1 & 2", (westwood studios')"Legend of kyrandia 1 & 2 & 3 "

If you still like playing these, a bit dated, games you can still play most of them with for instance ScummVM or DosBox

Role Playing Games that I like(d) to play are (Bioware's)"Baldur's Gate series and expansions", "Never Winter Nights and expansions" (Black Isle's)"Planescape Torment" (Origin's)"Ultima IX: Ascension" and last but not least Morrowind and expansions

First Person Shooters I can recommend are (3D Realm's)"Max Payne", "Doom 1 & 2", "Duke Nukem 3D", "Duke Nukem Manhattan Project (sidescroller)", "Shadow Warrior" and of course "Wolfenstein 3D"
